Rossell India shines on entering into an agreement with Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea

Rossell India is currently trading at Rs. 47.25, up by 0.70 points or 1.50% from its previous closing of Rs. 46.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 48.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 48.05 and Rs. 47.00 respectively. So far 2,990 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 65.90 on 26-Apr-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 30.10 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 50.00 and Rs. 46.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 173.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.64% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.61% and 14.75% respectively.

Rossell India has entered into an agreement with Dhunseri Petrochem & Tea for acquisition of their Namsang Tea Estate as a going concern for an agreed consideration of Rs 28.29 crore. The company has entered into an agreement on April 20, 2012.

Namsang Tea Estate is located at Jeypore, Dibrugarh district in Assam. The estate has the capacity to produce around 7.30 lakh kgs of black tea. With this acquisition, the total tea estates owned by the Rossell India in Assam stands enhanced to six with total production of 51.00 lakh kgs of black tea in a year.

Rossell India operates as a subsidiary of BMG Enterprises and engaged in manufacturing of black tea. The company owns tea estates in India.
