Idea Cellular rings loud on plan of expanding 4G services to 20 circles in FY17

Idea Cellular is currently trading at Rs. 75.75, up by 2.10 points or 2.85% from its previous closing of Rs. 73.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 72.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 76.30 and Rs. 72.45 respectively. So far 902910 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 147.70 on 27-Nov-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 66.00 on 09-Nov-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 76.30 and Rs. 69.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 27314.59 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.23%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.72% and 26.05% respectively.

Idea Cellular, one of the biggest cellular carrier of the country, is intending to expand its 4G services to 20 circles in FY17. The telecom operator is planning to erect 57,000 additional sites this year to enable the launch of 4G in 9 circles and expand wireless broadband footprint across the country.

The company has added 14.36 lakh new mobile subscribers in October, 2016. The company’s total subscriber count stood at 18.02 crore with markets share of 22.77%.

Idea Cellular, an AV Birla group company, provides Global System for Mobile communications (GSM)-based wireless service at the pan-India level, it is present in all 22 telecom circles.
