PVR jumps on inaugurating 3-screen cinema in Ujjain

PVR is currently trading at Rs. 152.00, up by 4.45 points or 3.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 147.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 148.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 153.90 and Rs. 148.20 respectively. So far 2,260 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 163.40 on 03-Nov-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 95.30 on 20-Jun-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 153.90 and Rs. 146.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 414.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 44.80% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.49% and 33.71% respectively.

PVR has inaugurated its 3 screen cinema -- PVR Talkies -- at Treasure Bazaar, Nanakheda in Ujjain. With the opening of this cinema at ‘Ujjain”, the total screens count has gone up to 173 screens at 40 locations across 24 cities in 12 States and 1 Union Territory. PVR Talkies at Ujjain has total seating capacity of 821 and will provide an exceptional digital movie experience to the cinegories of the city.

PVR is engaged in the business of film exhibition. The company operates other business such as providing content, film distribution and Entertainment Park through its subsidiaries. Currently, the company has achieved the status of being India’s largest cinema chain. It owns 101 screens across 14 cities and many more are in the offing.
