Nestle India trades higher on the BSE

Nestle India is currently trading at Rs. 4567.00, up by 10.65 points or 0.23% from its previous closing of Rs. 4556.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4549.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4585.00 and Rs. 4510.30 respectively. So far 1276 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 5024.35 on 19-Apr-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3859.00 on 22-Jun-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4727.95 and Rs. 4510.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 44033.06 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.76% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.84% and 18.39% respectively. FMCG major Nestle India reported 7.82% surge in its net profit to Rs 275.7 crore for the first quarter ended March 31, 2012. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 255.7 crore in the same period of previous year.

The company’s net sales stood at Rs 2,047.5 crore for the quarter under review, up by 13.12% as compared to Rs 1,809.99 crore in the same period last year.

During the quarter, $21 million were drawn down from Nestle SA for five years for capital expenditure under the External Commercial Borrowing approval from Reserve Bank of India.
