Bombay Dyeing declines as HC orders against the company in land row

The Bombay High Court has ordered the textile major - Bombay Dyeing to hand over the 1/3rd of land back to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA). This is the 65,000 square meter of the mills’ land situated at Naigaum and Lower Parel.

Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company is currently trading at Rs. 415.40, down by 31.10 points or 6.97% from its previous closing of Rs. 446.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 430.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 434.30 and Rs. 411.15 respectively. So far 112989 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 593.00 on 03-Apr-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 283.50 on 09-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 504.90 and Rs. 411.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1715.27 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.07% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.67% and 20.90% respectively.
