HCL Technologies’ wholly owned step down subsidiary HCL America Inc, a US-based electric and natural gas company, has inked pact with US company for collaboration on a new technology centre in Michigan.
Michigan Technology Development Center (MTDC) will be located at the Commonwealth Commerce Center in downtown Jackson, Michigan. HCL expects to hire 300 local technology professionals during phase one of the MTDC's opening.
The MTDC will be a designated training and development hub for IT processes, and will work with local universities. The centre will also establish a learning academy to train employees of Consumers Energy on emerging technologies, and will further expand to accommodate 500 technology professionals in the next few years.
