Novartis India trades higher on the bourses

Novartis India is currently trading at Rs. 717.00, up by 1.90 points or 0.27% from its previous closing of Rs. 715.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 716.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 723.40 and Rs. 706.10 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 944.00 on 19-Sep-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 616.50 on 24-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 728.00 and Rs. 700.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2272.41 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 76.42% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 2.57% and 21.00% respectively. 

Novartis India is arranging a biotechnology leadership camp (BioCamp) for students in Hyderabad during July 30 to August 1. Students from 100 Indian universities are going to take part in the camp. This camp aims to give students from the master's, doctoral and post-doctoral programmes from various faculties, exposure to the pharmaceutical industry.

The company is planning to select top three students from the camp, who will represent India at the global BioCamp to be held at the Navoratis global headquarters in Basel, Switzerland during August 26-29. This camp is open for post-graduate students and young researchers in natural sciences, medicine, biotechnology, bio-informatics, pharmacy, business administration or law specialisation in Intellectual Property Rights.
