Prakash Industries has lighted up its Fifth Sponge Iron Rotary Kiln, making the company self- reliant with respect to the requirement of Sponge Iron in its Steel Melting Shop.
The new Rotary Kiln shall also generate additional 15 MW power through the co-generation route, without any additional fuel cost by harnessing the waste gases emanating from the kiln. The additional power generated will be utilised captively for higher steel production.
