Tata Steel gains on commissioning first 3MW solar power plant at Noamundi

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 559.90, up by 0.70 points or 0.13% from its previous closing of Rs. 559.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 559.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 561.60 and Rs. 556.60 respectively. So far 2,04,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 561.60 on 11-Jul-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 319.85 on 11-Jul-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 561.60 and Rs. 545.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 54,320.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.35%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 44.73% and 22.31% respectively.

Tata Steel has commissioned a 3 MW Solar photovoltaic (PV) power plant at Noamundi. This step has been taken in a bid towards reducing carbon footprint. This is the first solar power plant in any iron ore mine in the country. The project, executed by Tata Power Solar, will help in reducing CO2 emissions by about 3,000 tonnes per annum.
