Coromandel International gains on receiving EC for raising production capacity at Vishakhapatnam

Coromandel International is currently trading at Rs. 439.00, up by 6.35 points or 1.47% from its previous closing of Rs. 432.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 435.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 442.00 and Rs. 435.10 respectively. So far 5,382 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 444.00 on 16-Jun-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 225.00 on 26-Jul-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 442.00 and Rs. 416.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 12,821.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.99%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.74% and 25.28% respectively.

Coromandel International has received an Environmental Clearance (EC) for raising production capacity of its facility at Vishakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The environment clearance to Rs 225-crore expansion project is subject to the compliance of specific and general conditions.

The company’s proposal is to raise phosphoric acid production capacity from 700 tonnes per day to 1,000 tonnes per day and other auxiliary facilities at Sriharipuram to achieve daily complex fertiliser production of 3,900 tonnes.

Coromandel International is engaged in the manufacture and trading of farm inputs consisting of fertilizers, crop protection, specialty nutrients and organic compost. The company’s business divisions include Fertilizers, Specialty Nutrients, Crop Protection and Retail.
