TCI trades higher on reporting 17% jump in Q1 net profit

Transport Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 308.50, up by 4.25 points or 1.40% from its previous closing of Rs. 304.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 309.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 317.85 and Rs. 306.60 respectively. So far 5571 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 349.65 on 06-Jul-2016 and a 52 week low of Rs. 144.00 on 28-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 323.00 and Rs. 302.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2376.96 crore.

Transport Corporation of India (TCI) has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2017.

The company has reported rise of 16.61% in its net profit at Rs 17.62 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2017 as compared to Rs 15.11 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operations of the company increased by 15.84% at Rs 497.81 crore for Q1FY18 as compared Rs 429.74 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
