Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, is in process of enhancing connectivity between Mumbai and Kuwait with the introduction of a second frequency four times a week to Kuwait. With the launch of this second service, effective June 8, 2012, Jet Airways will now offer 11 flights a week from Mumbai to Kuwait. The airline will deploy its new generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft, offering Premiere and Economy configurations.
Besides, passenger from Kuwait will also enjoy seamless connectivity from Mumbai to 50 other destinations on the domestic network as well as to the Far East and SAARC countries. Jet Airways presently operates 46 daily flights between India and the Middle Eastern region.
The Boeing 737-800 9W 574 will depart Mumbai at 2220 hrs (LT) on Thursday, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays respectively. The additional flights will complement the daily flight being operated between the two destinations by Jet Airways, making it the largest Indian carrier operating to Kuwait.
Jet Airways currently operates a fleet of 101 aircraft, which includes 10 Boeing 777-300 ER aircraft, 12 Airbus A330-200 aircraft, 59 next generation Boeing 737-700/800/900 aircraft and 20 modern ATR 72-500 turboprop aircraft. With an average fleet age of 5.81 years, the airline has one of the youngest aircraft fleets in the world. Jet Airways and Jet Konnect have a combined fleet strength of 121 aircraft and operate over 620 flights daily.
