Shoppers Stop goes digital to attract customers

Shoppers Stop is likely to go for major digitization drive to reach its customers. It has included a new aspect to its e-communication with the launch of its end of season sale advertisement with augmented reality (AR) apps. With this AR apps customers can get a real-world view of a physical environment through computer generated videos and sounds.

Through these apps customers can point phone on the static ad, the screen will change and will display thousands of offers available at the store. It's a kind of secret advertisements. Blackberry, iPhone and Android phone users can shop online through this, as over 6,000 customers downloaded and viewed the AR set-up.

Shoppers Stop is engaged in the retailing business. It runs a chain of departmental stores with brands including Shopper’s Stop, Home Stop, Crossword, Cafes and Restaurants etc.
