South Indian Bank’s Q2 net profit slumps 96%

South Indian Bank has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2017.

The Bank has reported 96.09% fall in its net profit at Rs 4.32 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 110.52 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the Bank increased by 13.82% at Rs 1816.67 crore for Q2FY18 as compared Rs 1596.08 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the July-September quarter of the current fiscal improved to 3.57%, as compared to 3.96% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 2.57% in Q2FY18.
