Bajaj Auto’s flagship motorcycle -- Pulsar 200NS -- has been launched in Pune, Maharashtra. The motorcycle has been priced at Rs 84,096-ex-showroom, Pune after having showcased it in January this year at the Auto Show. The Pulsar 200NS comprise features like liquid cooling, a six-speed gear box, front and rear petal disc brakes amongst others and will not replace the current air cooled 220 DTSi but will continue to sell alongside the half faired model, which continues to see strong demand.
The Pulsar 200NS comes with an SOHC 4-valve triple spark engine, which promises to provide 27 percent faster combustion as compared to a twin spark engine and 50 percent faster than a single spark engine.
After Pune, the company is planning to launch the Pulsar 200 NS in Mumbai, Nagpur, Solapur, Nasik and Aurangabad in the coming months.
The Pulsar 200 NS is powered by a 200cc single cylinder, four stroke engine with a bottom end that shares many components with the KTM Duke 200. The engine outputs a peak power of 23.5 Bhp at 9.500 rpm while peak torque comes in at 18.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
