Bharati Defence delivers High Speed Interceptor Boats to Indian Coast Guard

Bharati Defence and Infrastructure (BDIL) has completed and delivered the fifth in the series of 15 High Speed Interceptor Boats being constructed for the Indian Coast Guard from Mangalore Yard.

The delivered vessel is 28 meters in length with an aluminum hull, weighs about 60 DWT and is designed for speed up to 35 knots. It is fitted with a new generation of Arneson Surface Drive (ASD) which is propelled by two engines of 1650 KW each. The vessel can accommodate 11 member crews and is used mainly for patrolling purposes.

Bharati Defence and Infrastructure, formerly Bharati Shipyard, is engaged in the business of naval architecture, marine engineering and ocean engineering. The Company is also engaged in building various types of ships and other vessels, (both with and without power), build drilling rigs etc.
