City Union Bank strengthens on mulling augmentation of capital

City Union Bank is currently trading at Rs. 48.85, up by 1.10 points or 2.30% from its previous closing of Rs. 47.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 48.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 49.10 and Rs. 47.75 respectively. So far 39482 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 51.70 on 17-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 39.15 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 50.35 and Rs. 47.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1975.81 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.66% and 72.34% stake in the company, respectively.

City Union Bank has informed that a meeting of the board of directors of the bank will be held on June 22, 2012, to consider an enabling resolution for augmentation of capital through a process of Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) that is proposed to be placed before share holders for their approval at the ensuing annual general meeting subject to the applicable laws and regulations including guidelines issued by RBI & SEBI.
