Reliance Communications tumbles on CDB filing insolvency case

Reliance Communications is currently trading at Rs. 12.80, down by 0.55 points or 4.12% from its previous closing of Rs. 13.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 13.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 13.00 and Rs. 12.20 respectively. So far 41,86,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 41.00 on 06-Apr-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 9.60 on 15-Nov-2017.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 14.20 and Rs. 12.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3,185.89 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 59.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.93% and 21.07% respectively.

China Development Bank (CDB) has filed an insolvency petition against Reliance Communications (RCom) in the bankruptcy court to recover $1.78 billion, or about Rs 11,460 crore, it had lent to the Anil Ambani-owned telco. CDB moved National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) on November 24.
