Uttam Galva surges on buzz of increasing stake in Llyods Steel

Uttam Galva Steel’s promoters are reportedly planning to increase their stake in Lloyds Steel to 51%. The company is likely to pay Rs 380 crore for the stake and Llyods Steel’s board with the buyers will be deciding on the offer today. Presently, 36.14% in Lloyds Steel is owned by promoters, which includes Miglani family’s 24.5% stake who are also the co-owners of Uttam Galva Steel. They acquired the 24.5% stake in Lloyds Steel in February this year.

Uttam Galva Steels is currently trading at Rs. 74.45, up by 3.35 points or 4.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 71.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 73.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 75.95 and Rs. 73.65 respectively. So far 223018 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 113.60 on 06-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 48.00 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 72.40 and Rs. 66.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 908.39 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.83% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.57% and 13.60% respectively.
