Dredging Corporation of India rises on inking pact with NHAI

Dredging Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 653.00, up by 5.75 points or 0.89% from its previous closing of Rs. 647.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 652.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 653.00 and Rs. 649.50 respectively.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 787.90 on 02-Nov-2017 and a 52 week low of Rs. 375.50 on 20-Dec-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 681.65 and Rs. 633.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,828.40 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.38%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.86% and 14.76% respectively.

Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) has inked a pact with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to ensure adequate supplies of sand for road construction. The company, which is looking at doing dredging at various South East Asian sites, will ensure supplies in the domestic market.

Both DCI and NHAI have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the same. As per the MoU, business intermediaries will ship and store this sand at various ports in India and market it within the country.

Dredging Corporation of India is the premier dredging company in India and is the only PSU company offering dredging services. Established in 1976, the Company provides dredging and allied services to Ports, Indian Navy etc.
