Container Corporation inks MoU with State Government of Andhra Pradesh

Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Government of Andhra Pradesh, to record the intentions of the parties for setting up an Integrated Logistics & Manufacturing Zone (ILMZ) at Machillpatnam.

On its part, the company will endeavour to develop the identified land parcel of 1000 acres and promote & operate the developed project to provide Multi-modal Logistics facilities at Machillpatnam in a phased manner through PPP and other Modes.

CONCOR is a Public Sector Undertaking, under Ministry of Indian Railways which was incorporated in March 1988 under the Companies Act, and commenced operation from November 1989 taking over the existing network of 7 ICDs from the Indian Railways. From its humble beginning, it is now an undisputed market leader having the largest network of 66 ICDs/CFSs in India.
