HUL spurts on launching water purifier for the masses

Hindustan Unilever (HUL) is currently trading at Rs 459.05, up by 8.65 points or 1.92% from its previous closing of Rs 450.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 455.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs 461.60 and Rs 455.25 respectively. So far 19980 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 464.00 on 22-Jun-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 308.80 on 08-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 463.85 and Rs 447.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 97367.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.50% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.74% and 17.76% respectively.

Targeting at the mass segment, Consumer durables major Hindustan Unilever (HUL) has launched -- Pureit Advanced -- and the manual-fill water purifier has been priced at Rs 2,800.

The company has so far launched seven models including the latest advanced model, at different price points in the Rs 900-13,000 range.
