Sathavahana Ispat shuts down pig iron plant located in AP

Sathavahana Ispat has taken a capital shut down of pig iron plant effective from July 01, 2012 for a period of 75 days. The plant located at Anantapur district in Andhra Pradesh is shut down for modernisation of blast furnace as a part of integrated project work.

Besides, the company has also taken shut down of power plant effective from July 01, 2012. The plant located at Bellary District in Karnataka is shut down for a period of 20 days for annual maintenance. Further, the operations in these plants will be resumed once the scheduled works are completed.

Hyderabad-based Sathavahana Ispat engages in the manufacture and sale of pig iron and metallurgical coke in India. It offers pig iron that is used in engineering, construction, and foundry industries; and metallurgical coke, a raw material used in iron making.
