Lemon Tree Hotels surges on strengthening presence in Uttarakhand

Lemon Tree Hotels is currently trading at Rs. 70.25, up by 2.10 points or 3.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 68.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 69.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 70.80 and Rs. 68.60 respectively. So far 1,05,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 73.90 on 09-Apr-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 57.30 on 09-Apr-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 71.70 and Rs. 66.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5,481.30 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 31.07%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 53.74% and 15.20% respectively.

Lemon Tree Hotels’ wholly owned subsidiary and management arm -- Carnation Hotels has inked three individual management contracts for three new hotels in the State of Uttarakhand; one each in Rishikesh, Neelkanth and Mussoorie.

With these new signings, Lemon Tree Hotels, the largest hotel chain in the mid-priced hotel sector, further solidifies its presence in India as a market leader, thereby adding more depth to its leisure portfolio.

Lemon Tree Hotels is India’s largest hotel chain in the mid-priced hotel sector, and the third largest overall, on the basis of controlling interest in owned and leased rooms, as of June 30, 2017, according to the Horwath Report.
