Bayer CropScience’s parent company -- Bayer Aktiengesellschaft (Bayer AG) has received approval from Competition Commission of India (CCI) for the global acquisition of Monsanto Company. The Commission at its meeting held on May 21, 2018, approved the same.
The deal, which was announced in September 2016, required approval from about 30 countries, and so far 14 have approved the mega merger, which will result into the world’s largest seed and pesticides firm.
