Britannia Industries has reportedly set up a greenfield manufacturing facility in Rampur, Assam at an investment of Rs 200 crore. The company has already two manufacturing units in Assam with a production capacity of 30,000 tonnes annually. In the three units in Assam, the company has invested around Rs 350 crore.
The Rampur facility will produce a various range of Britannia products with a production capacity of 60,000 tonnes of biscuits annually. This unit is going to cater extensively in Assam and the north-eastern states.
