Alstom India bags order worth Rs 344.5 crore from NTPC

Alstom’s Thermal Services business in India has secured a contract worth Rs 344.5 crore for renovation of gas turbines at NTPC's 657 MW Jhanor Gandhar Gas Power Station Stage-l project located in Jhanor in Bharuch district, Gujarat, India. The plant was originally supplied with Alstom's GT13E1 gas turbines.

The scope of supply involves gas turbine components to be delivered till Indian port and the scope of services involves installation, testing, commissioning and conducting guarantee test of the gas turbines after replacement of the components. 

The components will be manufactured in Alstom's global state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, services shall be provided by Alstom's 'Thermal Services business in India. The project is scheduled to be commissioned over a period of three years from the date of award.
