INDSIL Hydro Power gains with its JV launching 2nd phase expansion project

Indsil Hydro Power and Manganese is currently trading at Rs. 78.00, up by 0.35 points or 0.45% from its previous closing of Rs. 77.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 77.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 80.00 and Rs. 77.10 respectively. So far 6112 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'X' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 226.85 on 12-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 64.25 on 09-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 83.95 and Rs. 77.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 216.60 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.71%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.99% and 27.30% respectively.

INDSIL Hydro Power and Manganese’s joint venture (JV) overseas subsidiary A1-Tamman Indsil Ferrochrome LLC has launched its 2nd phase expansion project. The expansion programme consists of installing one more 24 MVA Sub Merged Arc Furnace to produce ferro chrome. This will be in addition to the two existing 24 MVA Sub Merged Arc Furnaces presently producing ferro chrome. With this expansion, the capacity will move up from 75,000 tpy to 1,15,000 tpy of ferro chrome.

The expansion work would take around 12 months and commissioning of the third furnace is expected by December 2019.

INDSIL Hydro Power and Manganese is engaged in the generation of electricity from its captive hydroelectric power plant in Kerala, India. The company also involves in ferro alloy smelting.
