Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation’s board has agreed to sell its Sunmica division engaged in the business of manufacturing and marketing Decoratives and Industrial Laminates and located at Rudrapur to AICA Laminates India, a subsidiary of AICA Kogyo, Japan as a going concern on slump sale basis for a lumpsum consideration of Rs 100.30 crore and a Business Transfer Agreement to this effect has been signed between the parties on August 10, 2011.
The decision to sell Sunmica Division is in line with restructuring plan to focus on core business and divest low return businesses.
