Ashapura Minechem to resume bauxite exports from Gujarat

Ashapura Minechem along with its subsidiaries is likely to resume its bauxite exports from Jamnagar, Gujarat on a best effort basis to the extent of availability/ raising of working capital. This is pursuant to the ad-interim relief granted by the Supreme Court, the government of Gujarat has given conditional permissions in favour of certain mine owners to resume Bauxite sales.

Besides, in respect of shipping and other claims, the company continues to contest these in appropriate forums along with efforts to amicably resolve the matters.

Further, the company is in discussion with the Operating Agency to draw up the Draft Rehabilitation Scheme as per the directions of the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction.
