NLC India surges on commissioning 100 MW Solar PV power plant in Tamil Nadu

NLC India is currently trading at Rs 64.40, up by 0.95 points or 1.50% from its previous closing of Rs. 63.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 64.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 64.65 and Rs. 64.00 respectively. So far 2392 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 85.50 on 17-Oct-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 60.70 on 28-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 65.00 and Rs. 63.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8798.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 81.91%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 14.93% and 3.17% respectively.

NLC India has successfully commissioned the 100 MW Solar PV power plant at Kamuthi & K. Nedunkulam village, Ramanathapuram District in the state of Tamil Nadu, out of 709 MW solar power projects awarded by TANGEDCO.

NLC India is engaged in the business of lignite mining and power generation. At present, the company has four opencast lignite mines.
