Reliance Infra gains on receiving license for electricity transmission and distribution

Reliance Infrastructure is currently trading at Rs 488.65, up by 4.60 points or 0.95% from its previous closing of Rs 484.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at its day’s high of Rs 490.40 and has low of Rs 480.90 respectively. So far 1,97,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 1134.00 on 7-Oct-10 and a 52 week low of Rs 453.00 on 09-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 517.55 and Rs 453.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 12,939 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 48.09% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 36.97% and 14.43% respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure has received license for Transmission and Distribution of electricity in and around suburbs of Mumbai from Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC). The license shall be valid for a period of 25 years effective from August 16, 2011 up to August 15, 2036. In the new Distribution License, MERC has also expanded the existing area of distribution to include Chene and Varsova areas falling under the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation.
