Sona Group to set up two new plants in Haryana

Sona Group, auto components maker is planning to invest Rs 100 crore for setting up two new plants at Dharuhera in Haryana, this fiscal. It will also set up a dedicated facility to supply parts to Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming Gujarat plant.

The company aims to operationalise its first plant in next month, while the second one will be ready by the end of this year. The plants will be mainly for setting up machineries for backward integration and die cast operations.

Sona Koyo Steering Systems started operations as a supplier of steering systems to Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL), in technical and financial collaboration with JTEKT Corporation (Japan) along with equity participation by MSIL. The company’s product portfolio comprises of steering systems which include manual and power steering systems and driveline products which include case differentials, axle components and propeller shafts.
