Auto stocks lose steam on diesel, petrol price hike hope

Auto stocks have lost steam since morning deals on reports that the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG may be hiked next week after Finance Ministry told the Petroleum Ministry that it has no funds left to subsidise fuels. The increase could result in petrol turning costlier by Rs 4 a litre, diesel by Rs 5 and LPG by Rs 50 a cylinder.

Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 20.70, down by 0.35 points or 1.66% from its previous closing of Rs 21.05 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 21.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs 21.20 and Rs 20.60 respectively. So far 561552 shares were traded on the counter.

Tata Motors is currently trading at Rs. 232.00, down by 2.80 points or 1.19% from its previous closing of Rs 234.80 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 233.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 235.50 and Rs 230.10 respectively. So far 971776 shares were traded on the counter.

Cummins India is currently trading at Rs 451.20, down by 7.80 points or 1.70% from its previous closing of Rs 459.00 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs 458.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 462.95 and Rs 449.00 respectively. So far 6528 shares were traded on the counter.
