The company’s net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 surged by 32.67% at Rs 376.84 crore as compared to Rs 284.05 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income increased by 35.15% at Rs 1889.10 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 1397.81 crore for the same quarter last year.
Nalco has Asia's largest integrated aluminium complex, encompassing bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting and casting, power generation, rail and port operations.
