Gujarat Alkalies zooms on commissioning 12.5 MW solar power plant at Charanka

Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals is currently trading at Rs. 503.00, up by 32.65 points or 6.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 470.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 479.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 482.45 and Rs. 479.40 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 646.70 on 27-Sep-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 376.10 on 23-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 479.65 and Rs. 447.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3454.11 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.28%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 9.86% and 43.86% respectively.

Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals has commissioned remaining 12.5 MW solar power plant on September 16, 2019. With this, the commissioning of entire 20 MW AC solar power plant installation in phased manner at Charanka, is completed. Thus, total installed capacity of solar power plant now stands increased to 35 MW.

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals is engaged in business of manufacturing basic chemicals such as sodium cyanide, sodium ferrocyanide, chloromethanes, hydrochloric acid, caustic potash, potassium carbonate, phosphoric acid (85%) and hydrogen peroxide.
