Adani Ports’ arm to acquire 40.25% stake in Snowman Logistics

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone’s (APSEZ) wholly-owned subsidiary--Adani Logistics has signed definitive agreements to acquire 40.25% stake in Snowman Logistics from Gateway Distriparks for a consideration of Rs 296 crore. The acquisition gives Adani Logistics platform to double its capacity in the next five years. The buyout is in line with the company's strategy to move from port gate to customer gate.

As part of the transaction, Adani Logistics will make a mandatory open offer as per the Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeover Guidelines, 2011 for a maximum 26% of the public shareholding in the Snowman Logistics. Acquisition is expected to close by March 31, 2020.

APSEZ is part of Adani Group with businesses spanning coal trading, coal mining, oil & gas exploration, ports, multi-modal logistics, power generation & transmission and gas distribution. APSEZ represents a large network of ports with India’s largest Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Mundra.
