Adani Transmission rise on selling 25.1% stake in arm to QIA

Adani Transmission is currently trading at Rs. 333.70, up by 1.85 points or 0.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 331.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 339.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 339.95 and Rs. 331.35 respectively. So far 5752 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 365.80 on 02-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 192.00 on 28-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 360.00 and Rs. 326.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 36678.67 crore.

Adani Transmission has sold 25.1% stake in its arm Adani Electricity Mumbai (AEML) to Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) for approximately Rs 3,220 crore. The total QIA investment in AEML is approximately Rs 3,220 crore, which includes equity consideration of approximately Rs 1,210 crore and shareholder subordinated debt of approximately Rs 2,010 crore. The definitive agreements for the transaction were signed on December 11, 2019.

AEML has recently completed an investment grade, $1 billion bond issuance, the first by a private integrated utility from India. The issue generated significant interest from international investors.
