Nestle India has inaugurated the second unit of Nestle at Samalkha in district Panipat, Haryana on September 27, 2012. The company is going to adopt a collective strategy with Animal Husbandry Department, Dairy Federation and private sectors to set up milk collection centers. The second unit cost about Rs 600 crore and is expected to benefit not only for the State, but for the entire country.
On standalone basis, the company has posted a rise of 15.03% in its net profit at Rs 245.97 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 213.83 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 12.81% at Rs 1997.87 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1771.03 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
