Lakshmi Vilas Bank gains on the buzz of Temasek Holdings to acquire stake in Bank

Lakshmi Vilas Bank is currently trading at Rs. 16.05, up by 0.40 points or 2.56 % from its previous closing of Rs. 15.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 16.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 16.40 and Rs. 15.45 respectively. So far 36492 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 97.35 on 08-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 13.35 on 30-Oct-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 17.45 and Rs. 15.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 526.96 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 6.78% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 18.58%, and 74.63% respectively.

Temasek Holdings, the Singapore government’s investment company, has reportedly furthered its talks with Indian authorities to acquire a controlling stake in capital-starved Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB). Temasek has approached the corporate affairs and finance ministries for their approval to buy a 51 percent stake, which will give it controlling rights in LVB.
