Thermax has secured EPC order worth Rs 280 crore for a combined cycle extension power project from a leading Government of India Enterprise in the North East.
The 2x 24.5 MW project is part of the company‘s process of converting its existing gas turbine based power plant into combined cycle power plant by installing the bottoming cycle (utilising the waste heat from the exhaust of the gas turbine to generation additional power).
Scope of work for Thermax includes designs, engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of the project on the turnkey basis. The supply of equipment includes four heat recovery steam generators (HRSG) and two steam turbine generation (STG) complete with all auxiliaries and accessories and is scheduled to be completed within 25 months.
