ACC builds up on reporting 9% growth in September production

ACC is currently trading at Rs 1464.45, up by 8.35 points or 0.57% from its previous closing of Rs 1456.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 1467.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 1475.00 and Rs 1457.00 respectively. So far 14416 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 1485.00 on 01-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 1077.00 on 03-Oct-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 1485.00 and Rs 1367.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 27494.37 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.30% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.51% and 19.19% respectively.

Cement major, ACC’s cement production in September 2012 registered a growth of 8.98% at 1.82 million tonne, as against 1.67 million tonne in the year-ago period. The company's dispatches in the month also increased by 1.16% at 1.75 million tonne, as against 1.73 million tonne in same month last year.

On cumulative basis, for the January-September period this year, its production increased 2.93% at 18.28 million tonne as against 17.76 million tonne in the year-ago, while its dispatches for the same period surged 1.28% at 18.22 million tonne as against 17.99 million tonne in the corresponding period.

ACC is India’s foremost manufacturer of cement and concrete. The company’s operations are spread throughout the country with 14 modern cement factories, more than 30 ready mix concrete plants, 20 sales offices, and several zonal offices.
