Emami trades higher on the bourses

Emami is currently trading at Rs. 205.10, up by 5.00 points or 2.50% from its previous closing of Rs. 200.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 202.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 206.00 and Rs. 201.90 respectively. So far 20500 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 357.00 on 17-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 140.85 on 30-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 209.90 and Rs. 189.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9341.99 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.74%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.47% and 8.80% respectively.

Emami has advanced its plans to foray into personal hygiene portfolio by a year, under its flagship brand Boroplus, amid the rise in demand for such products due to COVID-19 pandemic. The company wishes to transform Boroplus, which is largely a winter skincare product, to an all-year brand with a new range of soap and hand wash, thus reducing the company's dependence on seasonality.

With the recent launch of Aloe Vera gel, Boroplus has four products in its portfolio basket, and the three additional ones will push the figure to seven.

Emami is the flagship company of the Emami Group and engaged in manufacturing products under various categories namely Hair Care, Skin Creams and Lotions, Talcum Powder and ayurvedic health care products.
