V-Mart Retail gains despite reporting net loss of Rs 34 crore Q1

V-Mart Retail is currently trading at Rs. 1792.55, up by 12.10 points or 0.68% from its previous closing of Rs. 1780.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1740.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1800.00 and Rs. 1700.00 respectively. So far 1454 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2545.00 on 24-Feb-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1293.70 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1814.05 and Rs. 1700.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3252.32 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.16%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.34% and 8.49% respectively.

V-Mart Retail has reported a net loss of Rs 33.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 against net profit of Rs 17.60 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 82.54% at Rs 79.46 crore for Q1FY21 as compared Rs 455.13 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

V-Mart Retail is one of the pioneers in setting up stores across various small Indian towns and cities. The company primarily operates in Tier-II and Tier-III cities, with a chain of ‘value retail’ departmental stores offering apparels, general merchandise and kirana, catering to the entire family.
