Realty stocks shine as Maharashtra government cuts stamp duty

Realty stocks were edged higher as Maharashtra government decides to cut stamp duty from 5 per cent to 2 per cent, and other levies for buying and selling of properties in urban and rural areas

Oberoi Realty is currently trading at Rs. 392.95, up by 25.45 points or 6.93% from its previous closing of Rs. 367.50 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 397.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 397.95 and Rs. 385.05 respectively.

Mahindra Lifespace Developers is currently trading at Rs. 281.45, up by 8.65 points or 3.17% from its previous closing of Rs. 272.80 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 281.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 286.40 and Rs. 280.50 respectively.

Godrej Properties is currently trading at Rs. 916.85, up by 66.90 points or 7.87% from its previous closing of Rs. 849.95 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 884.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 934.90 and Rs. 874.60 respectively.
