Sterling and Wilson Solar moves up on securing orders worth Rs 1,600 crore in Australia

Sterling and Wilson is currently trading at Rs. 277.90, up by 9.10 points or 3.39% from its previous closing of Rs. 268.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 279.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 284.95 and Rs. 272.45 respectively. So far 19210 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 665.00 on 23-Sep-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 69.75 on 31-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 284.95 and Rs. 244.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4503.71 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 77.22%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.81% and 10.97% respectively.

Sterling and Wilson Solar has signed (along with its branch and Australian subsidiary) orders worth AUD 300 million (around Rs 1,600 crore) in Australia. The company has bagged two large scale solar projects in the country which will have an installed capacity of over 300 MW.

The new projects have been secured from global independent power producer (IPPs), the work for which is expected to commence immediately. The company already has three projects of over 800 MW under construction in the region.

Sterling & Wilson Solar is engaged in the business of construction and maintenance of power plants. The company's products and services range include Contract activities and Operation Services.
