Canara Bank trades in green on the BSE

Canara Bank is currently trading at Rs. 430.10, up by 2.35 points or 0.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 427.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 430.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 430.00 and Rs. 425.40 respectively. So far 5091 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 566.00 on 17-Feb-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 306.00 on 30-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 448.75 and Rs. 413.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 18960.40 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.72% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.64% and 6.64% respectively.

Canara Bank, public sector lender has coordinated a mega road show at all circle headquarters to promote its various products and to create awareness about financial inclusion. Its employees marched on M.G. Road on October 13, 2012 displaying the bank’s logo and banners. The march was formally inaugurated by S.T. Ramachandra, bank’s deputy general manager, circle office.

On the consolidated basis, Canara Bank has reported a fall of 17.17% in its net profit to Rs 3341.69 crore for the full year ended March 31, 2012 as compared to a net profit of Rs 4034.19 crore in the previous fiscal. However, the consolidated total income during FY12 jumped 31.30% to Rs 33920.15 crore from Rs 25834.14 crore in FY'11.
