Tata Steel gains on enabling longest flyover in Andhra Pradesh through TMT bars, LRPC strands

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 395.10, up by 1.25 points or 0.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 393.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 396.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 400.00 and Rs. 391.55 respectively. So far 509747 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 505.95 on 14-Jan-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 250.90 on 30-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 400.00 and Rs. 361.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 47562.72 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.63% and 22.77% respectively.

Tata Steel has enabled the construction of a 2.6-km long six-lane Kanaka Durga flyover in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, the longest in the State. The Company has supplied around 80% of the steel used in the project including 2,000 metric tonnes of Low Relaxation Pre-Stressed Concrete (LRPC) Strands and 10,000 metric tonnes of TMT (thermo-mechanically-treated bars). The strength of the steel proved to be a major enabler in increasing the span between the pillars to 45 metres, nearly double the generally accepted standard of 25 metres.
