HDFC Bank slips as RBI imposes monetary penalty of Rs 10 lakh on the Bank

HDFC Bank is currently trading at Rs. 1378.25, down by 7.60 points or 0.55% from its previous closing of Rs. 1385.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1386.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1395.30 and Rs. 1375.40 respectively. So far 284050 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1464.00 on 25-Nov-2020 and a 52 week low of Rs. 738.90 on 24-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1409.90 and Rs. 1358.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 760930.18 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.02%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 60.33% and 13.65% respectively.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has imposed monetary penalty of Rs 10 lakh on HDFC Bank for bouncing of SGL which lead to shortage of balance in certain securities in the Bank’s CSGL account on November 19, 2020.
