NTPC’s JV, MSEDCL commission eight megawatt solar energy project in Maharashtra

Energy Efficiency Services (EESL), a joint venture of four PSUs including NTPC, Power Finance Corporation, Rural Electrification Corporation & Power Grid Corporation and Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) has commissioned about 8 megawatt solar-agro project at Devdaithan, Maharashtra.

The 7987 KW project in Ahmednagar district is part of Energy Efficiency Services commitment to the state under the Mukhya Mantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana, wherein it will supply the state discom with 679 MW of solar power. The project was completed in six months. EESL has already installed two solar projects in Ahmednagar district, including a 507 KW project in Ashwi and 858 KW project in Koplewadi.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
